Lion Adding Third 737 Simulator

JAKARTA, July 22, 2013 -- The Lion Training Centre, which has its simulator centre near Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, is adding a third 737-900ER simulator.

This new simulator from CAE is due to be installed in July, says Henry Biantoro, head of the Lion Training Centre. This is the airline's third 737-900ER simulator.

Lion Group president director, Rusdi Kirana, says this additional simulator reflects Lion’s continuing investment and commitment to training.

The Lion Training Centre also has a CAE ATR 72-500 simulator.

Lion Group's Wings Air operates both the ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600. For ATR 72-600 simulator training, Wings Air uses an ATR -600 flight simulator at the ATR Training Centre in Singapore.

Lion Group includes Indonesian low-cost carrier Lion Air, Indonesian full-service premium carrier Batik Air and Indonesian feeder airline Wings Air.
